Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information SlateOG, operated by Beastchemist ("we", "us"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Service at slateog.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information (such as your name) from Google.
Your content. The notebooks, notes, drawings, and images you create. If you enable cloud sync, this is stored so you can access it across devices.
Subscription information. If you subscribe to Pro, we store your plan, subscription status, and renewal date, along with identifiers from our payment partner. We do not collect or store your card or bank details — those are handled entirely by Razorpay.
Technical data. Basic technical information needed to operate the Service (for example, browser storage used to keep you signed in and to cache your work locally).

2. How we use information

To provide and sync your notebooks and account.
To process and manage your Pro subscription (via Razorpay).
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your notes for advertising.

3. Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run SlateOG:

Google — sign-in (authentication).
Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for your notebooks.
Razorpay — subscription payments. Razorpay processes your payment details under its own privacy policy.
Vercel — website hosting and delivery.

These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the Service.

4. Storage and local data

SlateOG uses your browser's local storage and IndexedDB to keep you signed in and to store your work on your device (including offline). Clearing your browser data may remove locally cached notes; cloud-synced notebooks can be re-downloaded when you sign in.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and content while your account is active. If you delete a notebook, it is removed from your library; if you delete your account or ask us to, we will delete your associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to comply with law.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your content from within the app, and you can request deletion of your account by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection law.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
